Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Safety

  • Ensure Control Tech’s Safety program is followed; Maintain a high level of safety awareness and adherence; Refrain from any task for which authorization and/or training has not been given
  • Attend and participate in monthly safety meeting; Maintain Safety Certifications and report all incidents / safety concerns

Technical

  • Assist/perform with the Install process control, and measurement instrumentation on existing and new field equipment and processes (transmitters, controllers, analyzers, control valves, etc.)
  • Assist/perform mechanical work associated with instrument repair and modification; remove and install small piping and tubing
  • Rebuild control valves and tune controllers
  • Perform preventative maintenance on instrumentation (calibration, replacement and tests as required); maintain field instrument records and standards
  • Provide support to operations in process control
  • Troubleshoot equipment and systems
  • Use test equipment and hand tools
  • Consult manufacturer’s manuals, circuit diagrams and blueprints to determine test, construction, and maintenance procedures
  • Inspect and test operation of instruments and systems (using pneumatic, electrical/electronic testing devices and precision measuring instruments) to diagnose faults
  • Assist/perform the repair and adjust system components (sensors, transmitters, programmable logic controllers, etc.); remove and replace defective parts
  • Calibrate components and instruments according to manufacturers’ specifications
  • On-call support as required

Junior Accountant

Reports To: Controller

The Accounting Assistant is responsible for supporting the Controller in the daily transactions in the accounting department, including but not limited to:

 

Major Responsibilities (subject to change at managers discretion)

  • Working paper reconciliation
  • Journal entry preparation
  • Fixed asset and fleet management
  • Inter-company reconciliations
  • Government remittances (GST/PST/Sales Tax/Federal/Provincial/State Tax, EHT)
  • Insurance policy renewals, claims, changes
  • Safety remittances (WCB/Work Safe/Worker’s Comp)
  • General projects as required
  • Participation and compliance with company safety program; Attendance and participation in monthly safety meeting

 

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Oil and Gas service industry

Education:

Peace Country Sales Representative

Location: Peace Country Area

This person will be responsible for promoting and securing Control Tech as the service provider of choice, for current and potential customers.  The successful candidate will be a relationship builder, preferably with industry and/or trade experience.

Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Identifies key accounts and generates leads; develops and delivers engaging proposals and presentations
  • Analyses market, business plans, and strategies and capitalizes on untapped opportunities
  • Maintains excellent relationships with current customer base through regular touchpoints and needs assessments
  • Tracks and achieves personal sales performance to maximize the return on investment
  • Analyses and reports on competitor trends.
  • Participates in trade shows and conventions.

Other requirements are:

  • Direct work experience in Technical Sales, Industry
  • Instrumentation and/or Electrical experience an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to meet clearly defined sales targets
  • Ability to produce results under minimal supervision

Service Writer/Admin   

Location: Chickasha, Ok

Reports to: Branch Supervisor and/or Operations Manager

 

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Enter daily field tickets into Syteline accounting program, following E-ticket procedure
  • Monitor Work in Progress (WIP) orders that are waiting for approvals; Weekly reporting to WIP managers; Refer problem accounts to branch management, Warehousing Manager and / or Office Manager as applicable
  • Attend bi-weekly WIP meetings
  • Acquire necessary approvals for field tickets; enter all customer approval related coding into jobs
  • Help manage project costs upon request and compile related information appropriately
  • Communicate with technicians to resolve any field ticket discrepancies
  • Work with purchasing/warehouse staff to reconcile material or inventory discrepancies
  • Work with payroll to resolve reconciliation discrepancies
  • Answer or refer inquiries
  • Prepares any necessary spreadsheets and provide administrative assistance as required using Microsoft Office.
  • Provide approved jobs in a ready to invoice format to accounts receivable
  • Participate in the Control Tech Safety program, including maintenance of safety training compliance and attendance at monthly safety meetings
