Safety

  • Attend and participate in monthly safety meeting; Maintain Safety Certifications and report all incidents / safety concerns

Technical

  • Assist/perform with the Install process control, and measurement instrumentation on existing and new field equipment and processes (transmitters, controllers, analyzers, control valves, etc.)
  • Assist/perform mechanical work associated with instrument repair and modification; remove and install small piping and tubing
  • Rebuild control valves and tune controllers
  • Perform preventative maintenance on instrumentation (calibration, replacement and tests as required); maintain field instrument records and standards
  • Provide support to operations in process control
  • Troubleshoot equipment and systems
  • Use test equipment and hand tools
  • Consult manufacturer’s manuals, circuit diagrams and blueprints to determine test, construction, and maintenance procedures
  • Inspect and test operation of instruments and systems (using pneumatic, electrical/electronic testing devices and precision measuring instruments) to diagnose faults

Purchaser/Service Writer

Job Responsibilities:

Purchasing

  • Source and obtain price quotes from catalogues and suppliers
  • Order materials not in stock; issue Purchase Order numbers to vendors and technicians as required; ensure immediate data entry of POs
  • Order material for technicians as requested
  • Check with technician on job order vs. stock order when required, ensuring materials are being ordered in SyteLine to the appropriate physical location
  • Write work orders for parts ordered directly by customer or walk in clients
  • Ensure timely entry of purchase orders; in order for parts to be received when they arrive and invoiced when sold
  • Review and report weekly on Open PO report; investigate accordingly
  • Work and communicate effectively with Warehousing Manager in regards to physical/Syteline inventory; help perform spot checks, counts, warehouse organization, etc.
  • Work and communicate effectively with Service Writers to ensure material is billed correctly and on time
  • Work with Warehousing Manager to maximize purchases on rebate accounts
  • Determine method of shipment for incoming goods and arrange shipping
  • Maintain internal, manual or computerized record-keeping systems

Service Writing

  • Complete Troy service writing related tasks
    – Create and/or open new jobs, issuing to the necessary techs/sales staff
    – Enter service tickets/work orders daily
    – Attain customer approvals on tickets if required
    – Send completed, approved documentation to Elmira office lead for invoicing
  • Monitor WIP (Work in Progress) for unbilled/partial billed jobs and investigate as needed
    – Attend weekly WIP meetings and provide feedback on your jobs
  • Complete special reporting requirements required by customers

The Accounting Assistant is responsible for supporting the Controller in the daily transactions in the accounting department, including but not limited to:

 

Major Responsibilities (subject to change at managers discretion)

  • Working paper reconciliation
  • Journal entry preparation
  • Fixed asset and fleet management
  • Inter-company reconciliations
  • Government remittances (GST/PST/Sales Tax/Federal/Provincial/State Tax, EHT)

  • Help manage project costs upon request and compile related information appropriately
  • Communicate with technicians to resolve any field ticket discrepancies
  • Work with purchasing/warehouse staff to reconcile material or inventory discrepancies
